The Art of Scouting

Throughout 2007, all of Conwy’s Scouts took part in some kind of creative activity, whether it was adding their own chunk to the huge piece of artwork made at the Area’s Centenary Camp, or making origami peace cranes, or something with their section.

Many sections made cut-outs of their left hand for the ‘Great Big Left Handshake’ which is now officially a Guinness world record. The finished collage was revealed at the Tate Modern in London on the 20th October, where a number of Scouts also received awards for their own Artwork in Scouting from Peter Duncan, Chief Scout, including Matthew Higgins, winner in the photography category.
