The District was represented at this year’s All Wales Scout Camp, by both the Old Colwyn Scout Troop, and Matthew Higgins, District Young Leader, who attended as a member of Team X.

The camp was the biggest All Wales Scout Camp ever, and was attended by over 750 Scouts, along with hundreds of Leaders. Over the weekend, activities were spread out through three zones, ‘Fun‘, ‘Challenge‘ and ‘Adventure‘, and Scouts spent half a day in each zone.

Fun included a range of traditional and creative activities, including crafts, music and Welsh traditions, Challenge was based on a range of challenges from fire lighting to first aid, and Adventure included adventurous activities including climbing, archery and bike tricks.

The event was supported by Team X, the national Young Leaders Unit for Wales, which provides free training to Young Leaders, in exchange for their help at major events.
