In an effort to develop a complete history of scouting in our new County Borough area of Conwy, (Abergele to Llanfairfechan and up to Betws y Coed), we are collecting items with a connection to scouting in our area and scouting generally.  If the items are from another area we would still be interested as we may be able to swap them with other districts involved in a similar project.

 

WANTED – ANY ITEM WITH SCOUTING CONTENT 

Books, Badges, Uniforms, Photographs, Cine/Video Film. Written information, Stamps, Records, Flags, Letters. 

JUST AS IMPORTANT, WE NEED YOUR FAVOURITE MEMORIES AND ANECDOTES, AS THEY WILL HELP TO ADD COLOUR TO WHAT COULD, OTHERWISE, BE A DRY HISTORICAL FACT SHEET.  

We would like to produce a simple record and photographic account of our history and hold mini exhibitions in various points in the county during the centenary year.  It is then our intention to transfer all the material to the Conwy County Borough Library and Archive Service for permanent safe-keeping.  

Please help to create this history of the movement for the next generation of our young members, we need the help of adults, as most of the material we need is the possession of adults.
